2nd Special Capacity Building Training Programme for Malagasy Civil Servants at the National Centre for Good Governance ( NCGG) in India.


On 29 August 2025, the Embassy of India in Antananarivo organised an interactive session for the second batch of 30 Malagasy Civil Servants who will take part in the 2nd Special Capacity Building Training Programme at the NCGG in India (New Delhi/Mussoorie) from 01-12 September 2025.  The training will focus on best practices in agricultural mechanization and food security, as part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between NCGG and the National School of Administration of Madagascar (ENAM) on 25 March 2025 for the capacity building of 250 Malagasy Civil Servants in India over the next 3 years.


2. The event commenced with the screening of short films showcasing India's rich cultural heritage as well as the adoption of Digital Public Infrastructure in the Agricultural sector of India.  In his address, Ambassador Bandaru Wilsonbabu reaffirmed India’s commitment to share its developmental experience and expertise with Madagascar in line with the ancient Indian philosophy Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (World is one family) and MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions). He hoped that the special training programme will pave way for a stronger India -Madagascar partnership in the fields of agriculture and food security.


3. Speaking on behalf of the Malagasy Civil Servants, the Governor of Alaotra Mangoro Region H.E. Mr. Guy Ramarosandratana recalled the close friendship between India and Madagascar and expressed his gratitude to the Government of India for the special training programme at NCGG.  The event concluded with the tasting of traditional Indian snacks.
