Celebrations of "Hindi Diwas-2025" on 15 September 2025.

  The "Hindi Diwas-2025" was enthusiastically celebrated by the Embassy of India in Antananarivo on 15 September, 2025. The occasion was graced by the Minister of Communication and Culture of Madagascar H.E. Mrs. Mara Volamiranty Donna, Minister of Youth and Sports H.E. Mr. Abdulah Marson Moustapha, Grand Chancellor of Madagascar Mr. Marcel Ranjeva, Secretary General of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Civil Service, Mr. Lanto Lauréat Rabenarivo, Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication and Culture, Mr. Fetra Rakotondrasoava, Vice President of the University of Antananarivo, Professor John Bam Razafindrabe  and other dignitaries as well as the members of local Indian diaspora.  In the run-up to the Hindi Diwas, the Embassy had organised competitions on Hindi-themed Painting, Hindi Speaking, Hindi Poem Recitation and Hindi Quiz.

2. In his speech, Ambassador spoke about the history of Hindi Diwas and the efforts being made by Government of India to promote Hindi in day-to-day working of the Government. He also encouraged the people of Madagascar to take advantage of the free classes of Hindi being conducted at the Embassy. 


3. In her speech, Minister of Communication and Culture of Madagascar H.E. Mrs. Mara Volamiranty Donna appreciated the role of the Hindi in promoting the rich and vibrant culture of India. She noted that Indian diaspora in Madagascar is well integrated into the Malagasy society while preserving traditions, and the Indian languages.

4. The event included recital of Hindi poems and performance of Indian dance and songs by the local Hindi students. It concluded with the handing over of gifts and certificates to the winners of the competitions and tasting of traditional Indian snacks.
