Interaction with the Malagasy Civil Servants taking part in the 1st Special Training Programme at the National Centre for Good Governance

1st Special Capacity Building Training Programme for Malagasy Civil Servants at the National Centre for Good Governance ( NCGG) in India.

On 23 May 2025, the Embassy of India in Antananarivo organised an interactive session for the first batch of 30 Malagasy Civil Servants who will take part in the 1st Special Capacity Building Training Programme at the NCGG in India (New Delhi/ Mussoorie) from 26 May- 6 June 2025.  

2. The event commenced with the screening of ‘The Spirit of India’ - a short video depicting India's rich cultural heritage.  In his remarks, Ambassador Bandaru Wilsonbabu highlighted the centuries-old ties of friendship and people-to-people linkages between India and Madagascar. He hoped that the insights gained during the training programme at NCGG will help the Malagasy Civil Servants to contribute towards the emergence of Madagascar as a thriving nation.

3.  Director General of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Civil Services of Madagascar Mr. Ramaroson Heridja Patrick  expressed his deep gratitude to the Ministry of External Affairs of India for sponsoring the training of Malagasy Civil Servants at NCGG. He hoped that the training will further deepen the mutual understanding and  cooperation between India and Madagascar. The event concluded with the tasting of traditional Indian cuisine.

4. The 1st special capacity building training programme for Malagasy Civil Servants marks the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between NCGG and the National School of Administration of Madagascar (ENAM) signed in Antananarivo on 25 March 2025, for the capacity building of 250 Malagasy Civil Servants in India over the next 3 years. As a close neighbour and fellow developing country in the Indian Ocean region, India will continue to share its developmental experience and expertise with Madagascar, in line with its philosophy of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (World is One Family)" and Vision MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions).
