ELECRAMA-2014: Powering the New World

Held biennially since 1990 in India, the 11th edition of ELECRAMA, the flagship event of IEEMA (The Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association) is being held at the world class exhibition venue – Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bangalore, Karnataka, India from 8th to 12th January 2014.

The Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) is organising ELECRAMA-2014, the world's largest confluence of power transmission and distribution sector, from 8th to 12th January 2014, in Bangalore - India. 

Founded in 1948, IEEMA is the apex industry association of manufacturers of electrical, industrial electronics and allied equipment in India. IEEMA has around 800 member companies encompassing the complete value chain in power generation, transmission and distribution equipment. IEEMA members have contributed to more than 90% of the power equipment installed in India. The Indian electrical equipment industry size is in excess of US$ 25 billion, with exports of US$ 5 billion. Held biennially since 1990 in India, ELECRAMA is the flagship event of IEEMA; with the 11th edition of ELECRAMA scheduled to be held at the world class exhibition venue – Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bangalore, Karnataka, India from 8th to 12th January 2014. The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Ministry of Power, and Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
As the world’s largest confluence of the power transmission and distribution community, ELECRAMA showcases products and technology through the entire voltage spectrum, from 220 V to 1200 kV, conforming to global standards and specifications. In its 10th edition, ELECRAMA-2012 hosted 821 exhibitors from 23 countries and attracted visitors from 120 countries.
It will be pertinent to mention here that the 11th edition, ELECRAMA-2014, is expected to surpass all previous editions, by attracting over 1,200 exhibitors, 125,000 footfalls, over 30 VIP delegations and country pavilions and participation from over 130 countries.
ELECRAMA-2014 is designed to maximise event experience by its multilateral approach, through a range of concurrent events that brings together a wide gamut of industry stakeholders, namely:

  • International T&D Conclave - international summit for the T&D industry and power utilities;
  • TRAFOTECH - international technical conference on transformers;
  • ChangeXchange - international Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM);
  • CEO Conclave - cross stakeholder debate and Awards ceremony;
  • Engineer Infinite 2014 – pan India competition for encouraging engineering students to share and display their innovative projects
