INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA , 21 JUNE 2015

 The Embassy of India in Madagascar celebrated International Day of Yoga (IDY) in Antananarivo on 21 June 2015 at Hotel Ibis. More than 550 persons from all the cross section of society participated in the event. H.E. Mme Brigitte Rasamoelina, Minister of Culture, Government of Madagascar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Besides Indian, Malagasy and international diaspora, a number of Govt. officials, Diplomats and their families participated in the event.

 The programme started with the playing of the National Anthems of India and Madagascar both. Thereafter, Ambassador followed by the Chief Guest made brief speeches on International Day of Yoga and background & advantages of Yoga. After speeches by the dignitaries, an audio visual presentation on Yoga was made. Thereafter, learned Yoga Masters in Madagascar introduced the assembled audience to the beneficial aspects of Yoga in the context of human body and mind.  Yoga presentations/ demonstrations were made by  Mme. Boda Ranjeva (Raja Yoga),  Mme. Odile Humblot alias Mme. Pushpa (Aiswara Yoga), Mrs. Geeta Pala (Hatha Yoga), Mr. Romy Joggyah and Mme Aurore Joggyah (Kundalini Yoga and Chakra sounds) and Mme. Solanjha (Yoga Therapy).  Renowned Malagasy singer Ms. Nofisoa Onjafarae Pascale (Onja) mesmerized the assembled audience in Antananarivo with an impromptu song on Yoga. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Mr. K. Sundarachari, an officer of the Embassy.

 International Day of Yoga was celebrated throughout the world subsequent to the declaration of June 21 as IDY by the United Nations Organisation on a call from the Prime Minister of India. On this day, 35,985 people in India and nationalities of over 84 different countries participated in a grand Yoga session in New Delhi, thus setting two Guinness Book of world records.

COMMUNIQUE DE PRESSE

L'ambassade de l'Inde à Madagascar a célébré la Journée internationale de Yoga (LSI) à Antananarivo le 21 Juin 2015 à l’ Hotel Ibis. Plus de 550 personnes de toute la section de la société ont participé à l'événement. S.E. Mme Brigitte Rasamoelina, Ministre de la Culture, Gouvernement de Madagascar a honoré l'occasion en tant que invite d’honneur. Outre indienne, malgache et de la diaspora internationale, un certain nombre du member de Gouvernement. fonctionnaires, diplomates et leurs familles ont participé à l'événement. 

Le programme a commencé avec l'hymne national indien et malgache à la fois. Par la suite, l'Ambassadeur suivie par l'invité d'honneur a fait de brefs discours sur la Journée Internationale du Yoga et les avantages du yoga. Après les discours des dignitaires, une présentation audio-visuelle sur le Yoga a été faite. Par la suite, des maîtres de Yoga à Madagascar ont présenté au public assemblé sur les aspects bénéfiques du yoga dans le contexte du corps humain et de l'esprit. Des présentations de yoga / démonstrations ont été faites par Mme. Boda Ranjeva (Raja Yoga), Mme. Odile Humblot alias Mme. Pushpa (Aiswara Yoga), Mme Geeta Pala (Hatha Yoga), Mr. Romy Joggyah et Mme Aurore Joggyah (Kundalini Yoga et Chakra sons) et Mme. Solanjha (de Yoga Therapy). Une Chanteuse malgache de renommée Mme Nofisoa Onjafarae Pascale (Onja) a hypnotisé le public assemblé à Antananarivo avec une chanson improvisée sur le Yoga. Le programme conclu avec le remerciement par M. K. Sundarachari, un officier de l'ambassade. 

La Journée internationale de Yoga a été célébrée dans le monde entier à la suite de la déclaration du 21 Juin que IDY par l'Organisation des Nations Unies sur un appel du Premier Ministre de l'Inde. En ce jour, 35 985 personnes en Inde et des nationalités de plus de 84 pays différents ont participé à une grande séance de yoga à New Delhi, créant ainsi deux Livre Guinness des records du monde.
