18 MW Power Plant Project with Financial Assistance from Govt. of India (EXIM Bank) inaugurated in Moroni, Comoros

Inaugural Ceremony of 18 MW power plant at the capital city of Comoros was held on 28th July, 2015. The ceremony was presided over by HE Mr.Mr. Mohamed Ali Soilihi, Vice President for Finance of Union of Comoros in the presence of Indian Ambassador, HE Mr. Chandra Ballabh Thapliyal and a number of Comorian dignitaries. A  Consortium of Indian companies M/s Overseas Infrastructure Alliance (OIA) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. Would be undertaking construction of the project shortly. The power plant, once operational, will provide great respite to energy deficient Comoros. 

Projet de production d’électricité de 18 MW financé par le Gouvernement Indien (Banque EXIM), lancé à Moroni, Comores

La cérémonie du lancement du Projet de production d’électricité de 18 MW, dans la capitale de Comores a eu lieu, le 28 juillet 2015. La cérémonie a été présidée par SEM. Mohamed Ali Soilihi, Vice-président des Finances de l’Union des Comores en présence de l’Ambassadeur de l’Inde, SEM. Chandra Ballabh Thapliyal ainsi que des autorités comoriennes.

Le consortium des compagnies indiennes M/s Overseas Infrastructure Alliance (OIA) et Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd seront en charge de l’exécution du projet. La centrale électrique, une fois opérationnelle, offrira un grand répit à l’insuffisance d’énergie aux Comores.
