Four Indian Naval Ships arrive in Antsiranana, Madagascar

The Ships of First Training Squadron IN Ships Tir, Sujata and ICGS Sarathi entered Port Antsiranana, Madagascar on 01 Oct 19. The Ships were welcomed by the Second Secretary to the Ambassador, Embassy of India, Mr. KJ Tete along with the Liaison Officer from Malagasy Navy. Whilst the Malagasy Band played marshal tunes in the backdrop, Guard of Honour along with Indian Naval Band was paraded onboard INS Tir for the welcome ceremony. The Senior Officer 1TS, along with Commanding Officers called on Rear Admiral Vaohavy Andriambelonarivo Andasy, Commanding Officer of Malagasy Naval Force, Captain Sham Kalobe Commanding Officer of Antsiranana Naval Base, Brigadier General Rasolofomanana Hiary Lala, General Chief of Joint Staff of Malagasy Armed Forces, Ramanamahafahy Mapaza, Diana Region Chief, Rabemamory Adel Bienhereuk, Antsiranana Prefect and Andrianahzaka Germain, Mayor of Antsiranana. A combined briefing was conducted onboard INS Tir for bilateral exercise between the two forces which was attended by the Command Team of 1TS Ships and the coordinating Officer of the Antsiranana Naval Base.
